For the love of tea In the year of 1952 Mr. Surendra Nath Jana opened a small Tea selling counter named ‘Suren Tea’ at Burrabazar besides of UCO Bank Stand Road Branch. In the year of 1989 After 40 years long his beloved son Mr. Gopal Jana took all responsibility of the business and his superhuman effort, sharp business sense and reason of prudence the ‘Suren Tea's’ enrichment occurs. Year of 2001 Mr. Gopal Jana become a member of Calcutta Tea Traders Association and getting all necessary permission to buy Tea from auction. Reason of his continuous research and timely thinking over Tea today the number of customer of ‘Suren Tea’ company’s is almost lac. Keep in minds of people’s needs and demands they serve through various mixes of light leaker, hard leaker and different type of flavors tea leaf with very reasonable price. They mainly stressed CTC and Derjeeling tea but nowadays they made ‘Sulakshm’ Brand’s packet tea. Mixed of small cardamom, nutmeg, saffron tea and Diabetic lemon tea to gain praise, getting popular on customer and day by day its demand growing high. After joining of his two sons Mr. Samrat Jana and Souvik Jana his hand is even stronger. Now Suren Tea’s main aim to spread their business all over the India. A devotee of Swami Vivekananda Mr. Gopal Jana’s love and responsibility over customer is remarkable. He wants people understand exact tea’s quality moreover its price and not judge any tea by its high price. His suggestion on this matter "first boil the tea then cover up tow minutes then take it to smell only then you understand exact quality of the tea”. For the love and responsibility over customer they made ‘Customer ID card’. In daily base they return some part of their profit to customer this effort are novel. In every card is written customer name, address and details of every purchase of tea. After sometimes they return some parts of their profit to every customer. At present at least 2500 customer have this ‘ID card’. Now the time has changed, era has changed, people have changed but the mentality of Mr. Gopla Jana’s to given quality and advance service keep unchanged maybe that’s why beyond of few decades our traditional and prestigious establishment still standing top with their glory in Kolkata.
